On the occasion of the 26th Independence anniversary, there were signed Ukases on pardoning of a number of citizens of the country and foreign nationals

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country’s Armed Forces Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Ukase “On pardoning the convicted persons on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence”, releasing the pardoned Turkmen citizens from further enduring the primary custodial sanction, as well as from additional punishment as placing of the particular area detention duty. 

Also on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Ukase “On pardoning foreign citizens, convicted on the territory of Turkmenistan”, releasing the pardoned citizens of foreign countries from further enduring the punishment. 

These decisions were taken, guided by the principles of mercy and humanism, for the purpose of further enhancing the unity and cohesion of Turkmen society and each family, as well as further strengthening the ties of friendship between countries and peoples.
