A briefing on the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality was held in Riyadh

On February 27, 2020, a briefing was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Saudi Arabia dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.

The briefing was attended by representatives of the King Faisal Center for Islamic Studies, the Center for Research and International Knowledge (CRIC), representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Saudi Arabia, members of the Saudi branch of the Humanitarian Association of the Turkmens of the World, activists of the Turkmen Diaspora in Saudi Arabia, representatives of mass media.

The briefing participants were acquainted with the extensive cultural and educational events held in Turkmenistan and abroad as part of the Year 2020 declared by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as “Turkmenistan - the Homeland of Neutrality.”

The attention of the participants was paid to the aspects of the upcoming International Conference “The Policy of Neutrality and its Role in Ensuring International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development”, which will be held on December 11-12, 2020 in Ashgabat.

It was noted that the holding of this conference is a clear example of the ongoing peaceful and constructive foreign policy of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, aimed at universal development and prosperity.
