LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION GROWS

The agro-industrial complex successfully implements large-scale transformations with the aim to improve the efficiency of livestock farms, increase the production of meat and dairy products. In accordance with the decisions of the Halk Maslahaty and the Resolutions of the President of Turkmenistan, the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan privatized about 90 livestock farms in Ahal, Lebap and Mary velayats and poultry complexes of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, built earlier in the Balkan and Mary velayats.
Currently, more than 120 private livestock farms successfully produce meat and milk. 90 farms are under construction.
All necessary conditions are created to provide farms with a solid forage base. In particular, more than 28,000 hectares of land were allocated to livestock breeders - members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs for the production of fodder crops.
Farms of Turkmenistan increase production of the main types of livestock products - meat and milk. That is testified by the data of the State Statistics Committee. In January-September, 2020, meat production in all farms of Turkmenistan increased by 6.2% as compared to the same period of 2019.
