BALKANABAT CELEBRATES NEW HOUSES AHEAD OF THE HOLIDAY

Today, six four-story apartment buildings have officially opened their doors in Balkanabat.

Heads of the regional and city administrations, representatives of public organizations, honorary elders, young people, and many local residents were among those attending the opening ceremony.

A performance by the Dehistan Folk and Ethnographic Ensemble, a many-time winner of the Türkmeniň Altyn Asyry Prize of the President of Turkmenistan, added to the festive atmosphere and brought an extra layer of excitement to the occasion.

The Balkan Velayat Central Mosque, whose official opening was attended by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in late November, is in close proximity to the new buildings. A majestic Türkmeniň Ak Öýi building is currently under construction in the same neighborhood.

The first six four-story apartment houses (of the thirty-two envisaged by the construction project) were built by specialized divisions of Demirbetonönümleri, a Turkmenabat-based enterprise.

Each resident building is home to thirty-six two-, three-, and four-room apartments with well-planned and well-designed living space.

A school, a kindergarten, a health center, a shopping center, venues for cultural events, and other social infrastructure facilities are planned to be constructed in the new neighborhood.

During the ceremony, the best builders received valuable gifts from the nation’s leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
