A TRACKING NUMBER HEPLS TO TRACE PARCELS

Turkmenpost Postal Service Company of the Türkmenaragatnaşyk Agency has launched a parcel tracking system on its renovated website at www.turkmenpost.gov.tm allowing customers to track their packages throughout the country. To find out where your parcel is, all you have to do is just type your tracking number into the tracking field, then click the icon. Real-time information on your parcel’s current location will be available almost instantly.

Tracking parcels on the website is not as hard as it might appear at first. The tracking number (a parcel identification number) is a unique code, which helps customers to locate their postal item, in this case, in the country. Under the regulations of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), each tracking number consists of 2 letters, 9 digits and the last 2 letters are two-letter country codes of the origin country. The number assigned to a package is sent to the addressee in an SMS message. The system automatically collects information from different websites of postal services and logistics companies to allow the sender to easily track all parcels in one place.

Turkmenpost has been expanding a range of services offered to its customers. Not long ago, the company began to home deliver tickets for traffic violations, issued by the Traffic Control Police Service of Turkmenistan. Traffic tickets can be paid at any post office. After you have created a user’s account on the company’s renovated website, you can get access to information on traffic tickets and pay them online by credit card. Once the payment has been made, you will receive an SMS notification on your mobile phone.

Apart from traffic ticket payments, in prospect, post offices will collect fees for vehicle registration, driving tests, official check-ups of motor vehicles, among others. In the near future, customers will be able to pay for all their utilities and communications services there.

The services currently provided by Turkmenpost include train ticket sales, utility bill payment services, and express mail delivery services to any UPU (Universal Postal Union) member-country. What is more, the company’s website offers non-cash payment and home delivery options.
