TURKMENISTAN ENHANCES PARTNERSHIP IN THE SPHERE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES

Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Berdiniyaz Myatiev held a videoconference meeting with Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Francesco La Kamera.

During the meeting, the parties underlined the effectiveness of the bilateral dialogue. The Turkmen side actively participates in events held under the IRENA auspices at the international and regional levels, including the sessions of the IRENA Assembly.

The parties called for building up cooperation in the field of renewable and alternative energy sources. As reported earlier, Turkmenistan has approved the National Strategy for the Development of Renewable Energy until 2030.
