The countries of the region are willing to continue close cooperation with the UNRCCA

The UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia hosted the meeting of foreign ministers and their deputies of the region timed to the 10th anniversary of the UNRCCA foundation. 

The perspectives of extended cooperation in the region and preventive efforts including under the Action Programme of the UNRCCA in 2018 – 2020 were the subjects of interested exchange of the opinions. In this context, the number of specific proposals on regional cooperation under support of the United Nations has been reviewed. 

Generally, positive dynamics of regional partnership and growing opportunities for further support of preventive diplomacy in the region in all spheres, development of coordinated positions on improvement of efficient cooperation with the support of the Centre have been noted. 

The outcomes of the meeting, which resulted in Joint Declaration, have been presented during the press conference upon its completion. During the press conference, the willingness of the sides to continue close cooperation with the UNRCCA and constructive dialog in general that meets the interests of universal peace and wellbeing has been confirmed.
