Potato producers of the norther region of the country lay the ground of future harvest

Sowing of autumn potato has been accomplished in Dashoguz Region. Wise organization of responsible agricultural campaign with sufficient availability of seeding material and necessary equipment allowed to plant the crops at one thousand one hundred hectares in a short time.

Districts specialized in cultivation of this food crop like Gurbansoltan-eje and S. A. Niyazov districts, where 29,400 tons and 10,500 tons of tubers of spring sowing have been reaped, are the main producers of potato.

Potato was planted on 600 hectares in Gurbansoltan-eje district and on 300 hectares in S. A. Niyazov district. Farmers of the region, who successfully fulfilled the government order for production of spring potato, plan to receive another good yield making input to saturation of national food market.
