REPRESENTATIVES OF FOREIGN DEPARTMENTS OF TURKMENISTAN AND CHINA DISCUSS AGENDA OF THE PARTNERSHIP

VI session of the Sub-Committee for trade and economic cooperation of Intergovernmental Turkmen – Chinese Committee for cooperation was held in video conference format. Turkmen delegation was chaired by Deputy Ministers of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan K. Kurbanov and Chinese by Deputy Minister of Commerce, Deputy China International Trade Representative Yu Jianhu.

During the talks, the sides have reviewed wide range of cooperation subjects. In particular, exchange of views on capabilities of diversification of the partnership in spheres representing mutual interest has been held. In this aspect, the perspective of digital format of the meeting between representatives of profile departments of Turkmenistan and the People’s Republic of China has been noted.

Transport, trade, energy, production of construction materials, chemical and textile industries, agriculture, telecommunications and information technologies have been specified among priority spheres of consolidation of interests.

During the meeting, the focus has been made on importance of mutual trade. In this context, mutual interest in activation of partnership on the level of the government structures and between representatives of business communities of two countries, which is according to the sides would allow updating cooperation, has been expressed.

Aspects of organization of the next 7th session of the Sub-committee for trade and economic cooperation have been discussed. Relative protocol has been signed by the outcomes of the meeting.
